Beware the future
Via Brian Chin, here is a list of 30 particularly egregious mistaken predictions about technology, derived from Wikipedia's much longer list. I've always liked this one:
Rail travel at high speed is not possible because passengers, unable to breathe, would die of asphyxia.
High speed being as much as 50 kph in some cases!
