Sting may not have tried for the very highest notes at "Put on the red light" in "Roxanne" (and, to be fair, he usually didn't in concert back in the '70s and '80s either), but The Police definitely kicked it at the Grammy Awards last night.
The best part was that they kept it entirely stripped down, with none of the unncessary background singers and extra instrumentation that marred their final Synchronicity concerts in 1984 or their 2003 Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame appearance. Just three old guys (Andy Summers is 65 this year!) still able to rock out.
