Google has increased the resolution of many of its satellite images for Google Earth and Google Maps , at least for some U.S. locations.
Vancouver is still as it was, but check out the Space Needle and Bell Harbor Conference Center (site of Gnomedex in June) in nearby Seattle—you can almost see the colours of people's shirts.
Actually, in Google Earth, where you're able to zoom in more, you can see them.
