Will I ever be a programmer?

The last time I tried to write a computer program of any complexity was over 20 years ago, and I was lousy at it. I can code basic web pages, but that's not programming. I wonder if Apple's Dashboard will prompt me to learn some JavaScript, at least?

I'm pretty far along, so somehow I doubt it, but you never know.
