Power up!

Sure, my oldest daughter (age five) is learning to read, and to play piano, and all sorts of useful things. But here's a real sign of her growing up: today, entirely on her own, she managed a first-place gold trophy in the 50 CC Flower Cup in Mario Kart 64, Nintendo's go-kart racing video game.
